Reply from divya_narayan on Mar 15 at 11:28 AM Thanks Morgana for the reply. Actually we are scrambling the data using a report and doing it for n number of employees. This will be done on the PRD system and the client would be doing it. please suggest if this change should be made? Regards, Divya

Date 10/25/2010 Acc. to Control Rec. to Py Area 10 Hi Divya If you are scrambling the data, presumably you are working in a test system anyway? You can delete the payroll control record for the affected payroll area and recreate it with a date early enough to account for your oldest employee. Once you have done that exercise to get the data scrambled, you can delete the PY control record and recreate for a more appropriate date in the present (or according to your test period). The situation is more complicated if payroll has been run for these same employees and they, therefore, have payroll results. As long as no-one is using the system, you can still follow the same procedure to delete and recreate the Control Record, but you may also need to adjust entries/dates in IT0003 Payroll Status to prevent unwanted retro-accounting.
