RE:[sap-hr] Edit Feature NUMKR For Number Ranges Error

Reply from JG-SAPHR on Mar 7 at 5:07 PM
Hi Daniel,

In transaction PE03, edit feature NUMKR. Check if the decision tree has any issue. For example, there may be some lines for specific key values. But there may not be a line which is to be used when the actual value is not one of these.

One or more asterisks is used for this purpose, i.e., when the actual value is not one of the specific values. The number of asterisks depends on the key length.

If such asterisk line is absent, copy/insert a line to include asterisk/s.

Save and generate the feature in a transport.
Copy the transport to the dev test client.

Test the change with data similar to what you were trying to do when you got the error. Use a couple of other scenarios also.

Get the transport moved to QA and test further. Request users to test and sign off.

Them move the transport to prod client.

Moving the transport to a target client normally will result in the feature generation. If it does not happen, the you would need to generate the feature manually in PE03.

Also you can refer to the section of Features in the Reference material for this group - topic "SAP HR - Check your basics-Answers-1".

Regards,
JG
